Return of Waste Electrical Equipment
As a supplier of e-cigarettes, we are obliged under Section 17 of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) to take back used disposable e-cigarettes and electronic tobacco heaters free of charge.
The return is free of charge and not tied to a new purchase - regardless of where you bought the device.

Return to municipal collection points
Alternatively, all recycling centres of Berliner Stadtreinigung (BSR) and mobile hazardous waste collection points accept used e-cigarettes free of charge. You can find locations and opening hours at bsr.de.
Please do not send by post
Disposable e-cigarettes contain permanently installed lithium batteries. Used lithium batteries are excluded from shipping with common parcel service providers. Therefore, please do not send us old devices unsolicited by post, but use one of the return options mentioned above.
Why separate disposal is important
E-cigarettes contain lithium batteries and valuable raw materials such as copper. They do not belong in household waste. Improperly disposed of devices regularly cause fires in refuse collection vehicles and sorting plants.
Meaning of the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol
The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin on the device or packaging means that the device must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
Note on batteries (BattG)
Disposable e-cigarettes contain permanently installed batteries that cannot be removed without destruction. Therefore, return the device completely via one of the return options mentioned above.
